[ But he'll wait patiently. He's actually... really happy to see Sholmes bouncing back from all of this. It isn't easy. None of it. But he's glad his spirits are lifting, despite the odds. ]

[ He looks at the bunny for a long bit. He recognizes this from the little doodle Shomles made when they talked about Iris that night after their first trial. The matching charm being the same, too. He lifts his head, a little awestruck. ]

Well, yes! More than one secret, actually, but unfortunately, they do not retain all their functions. You could use them as those..."walkie talkies" you all use in trial. But alas, no sound is projected through them. However...!

[He gestures.]

Pull at the hare's ears....but gently! And see what occurs on my end.

[ But he gently pulls on the hare's ears and looks over at the other charm curiously. ]

[He'll place it up to his ear as Kotetsu does so....]

[And then, the little pink bear reaches out to...pinch! His ear. Yes. It moves.]

[Helpful visual representation, though Kotetsu didn't tug too hard so its a light little pinch.]

Ahaha! Yes, see! It still works. And... [...............A sigh.] My daughter and I made them together. Regardless, there is a distance limit, but if you leave the charm in your pocket, and tug at the ears, my charm will pinch me just a little! And vice versa.

[ He can't help but feel a warmth through his entire being. The fact that he's giving him this... something so important to him. Something that meant family? He tries not to read too deep into it, but given everything that've said and promised. Well.

And yes, he realizes it's to hold on to and not keep. This will always be for Sholmes and Iris, in the end. ]

[ And he leans in once again to give him another kiss, holding the charm close. ]

[He kisses him back, tired, but ever pleased.

[ The kiss is light, sweet, but very affectionate. He's not pressing for more. He knows Sholmes must be exhausted after all of that. He just wants to spend time with him.

He nuzzles softly, whispering against his lips. ]

Do you want to rest...? I asked Diluc if it was okay for us to have some time alone for a while. I figured you might need some sleep.

[He closes his eyes, shifting closer.]

I feel like everything has been drained from my body.

[ He lightly nuzzles Sholmes, making sure to hold him so he knows he's protected. ]

Then sleep. I'll make sure you are a safe and protected. Nothing can hurt you here.

...Like the hero you are.

[He says, his words immensely fond. His hand reaches up to curl over the other's cheek.]

Thank you for...being that for me.

What good is a hero if he can't protect the ones he loves the most?

[ His words are so warm and soothing. Sholmes is a precious treasure to him. He'll always protect that. ]

[He murmurs, tired, but soft. His fingers stroke over the other's ear.]

[ His hand gently rubs Sholmes' back. ]

I can only hope you realize how much.
