Of course. I will always fight to make sure I'm not leaving anyone behind... but if that isn't an option. What choice is even the right one there? Living with the regret knowing you failed to protect someone you love or leaving them with the memory that they died for you?
In most cases, you never know if you need sacrifice. It's merely perceptions and assessments of a situation, but that doesn't mean it's necessary or called for.
