If it was a power you must have some control over what kind of poison you could use, right? If their goal was to kill Rochalizo before execution, they could’ve just done it, but then what would have happened when it was time for execution?

If their goal was to make it easier for his executioner to finish him, or maybe take away the need at all by having him die of poison in the arena— then they messed that up too.
