[ he rubs his neck, thinking of how to respond to this. ]
Things just keep happening. The momentum is getting hard to keep up with.
[ what a vague response. but finley takes that attention from pravda. sorry she's not really giving much in return, but is, at least, relaxing a small bit. ]
Alright. You and Sholmes have been acting like there's an elephant sat right in the middle of the room most of the week and neither of you want to acknowledge it.
Normally I’d say the more fallouts you have, the more important the friendship is but I think that might’ve just been my friendships.
[ hmm. ]
[ he doesn’t say this sounds like they’re (ross voice) on a break ] Maybe you will. Maybe you won’t. Sounds like it’s niggling at you either way, but after how he showed up on Thursday, I can’t say I don’t get it.
[ i, becks, was asleep but he would’ve really lost it at a couple of cyoa returns if i wasn’t mobile or in bed tbh. ]
He didn't want to talk to me about any of it. We were able to set things aside enough so that I could help him out. We didn't have a lot of time before shutdown, so he got stuck at our house because of it.
He mainly wanted to sleep and left right when he could in the morning.
[ like. what is he supposed to do with this flower girl outfit he bought for the wild detective wedding? this is terrible. ]
... [ wow talk about a falling out. ] Dying's pretty personal. It might be he doesn't want to talk about it just because it... literally involved him dying.
I thought you were the go to for that. [ ... ] I mean, I've said it before, I'll say it again -- he's a bastard, but he's a fun one. I don't have a bad opinion of him.
Some of that was because of this place. It was easy working together when we could actually understand how the other one felt when we were linked. I guess it all fell apart when we no longer had that.
Besides, we didn't really know each other that well the first two weeks. Things change.
We'll see in time. Tomorrow's always another day, right? For better or worse. Even if we don't fix our problem, we're still working on getting out of this as a whole.

A bit. What the heck happened to you, other that... y'know. The really crap surprise we all got on Thursday.
[ well. that's something at least. pravda will plop her chin against finley's neck like... there there, friend. ]

[ sure was vague, huh? pravda's fine with being a comfort bug for the moment. it's all good. ]

He's a bastard, but he's a fun one. That's as much as I need to know for the moment.

[ he rubs his face some, irritated. ]
Maybe we'll patch it up, who knows? Right now, we both needed some space.

[ he shrugs vaguely. different place, different times. his shoulders do tense up at that reminder of thursday. ]
...We thought they were actually dead.
no subject
...
Yeah. For a while there, it really looked like it, didn't it?
[ aside from that but hey. ]
no subject
It didn't look like it. They were dead. I checked. I don't know how they came back. His body... was cold. No pulse. No breathing.

I get that. I hope he has someone he can talk to, though. He's not a bad man.

[ he kinda feels like there's way more to it than that, but that's about as far as he's willing to pry. ]
Well, whatever it is, I hope you find some middle ground again. Especially if that's been adding to all your stress from this place.
