Yes... I don't think it would have helped, necessarily. Our hope was shaken every week, when people returned to us on the brink of death, or... sometimes seemingly beyond it.

Maybe. Or maybe it's something to do with the angels. Or the fact that they didn't have the daemon to bring back, so she was unable to come back. But it definitely has to be something with the bond itself.

...No. Not nearly what I should. I didn't even think about sending them letters until someone mentioned.

Me, either. Besides... I know they have limits on their letters. I'd rather them trying to spread information or contact people that are closer to them instead of writing back.
