[ He does sit down next to Kim, holding Finley close in his lap. But he just shakes his head a little. ]

I've been trying to come to terms with it, but seeing that affected me more than I thought it would.

Trauma does that sometimes. You can try to control it, but it still comes back when you least expect it...

Maybe not, but so many of us have trauma here that we don't have time to process. Things we have to keep moving on from.

[ He drops his head back on the count, leaning at the ceiling. He's still petting Finley very gently to keep her calm through all this. ]

I know there's a lot of things I'm going to have to work through once we're out of this situation.

[Kim puts a hand over his severed left arm, giving it a small squeeze just above the elbow, where it ends. There's a contemplative look as his gaze drifts to Finley, then back to Kotetsu.]

[ Kotetsu seems genuinely surprised by that offer. He starts to open his mouth to say something, but it doesn't come out.

...That. I think I might like that.

[He nods, then scooches over to close the gap between them and wraps his arm around Kotetsu's shoulders, pulling him in a little closer. Not all the way, with Finley right there. He'll give him a chance to lean in or reciprocate as much as he chooses.]

[ Finley shifts to make sure to get out of the way for this and he shifts to hug him back with both arms. It's nice. And he sighs softly. Relaxing just a bit. ]
