[ As per usual, with every world, Kotetsu is out exploring. At least Nero knows why he's been doing this now. It's been a bit of a trial, using a crutch with the ice, but he's managed to not eat snow too often.

Finley has their dragon friend resting on her back and it seems to make a small sound when it sees Nero. He heads over in that direction and nods at him with a warm greeting. ]

Enjoying the weather?

[Nero can be found just lying in the snow, staring up at the clouds and he raises a hand to wave at Kotetsu.]

Yeah. 's the best place we've been to so far.

[His fingers are bleeding a little, don't worry too much about it.]

[ At this point, it's probably better to ignore injuries and pretend they're not there. Even thought they're literally painting the town red. These poor servants... ]

Are you from some kind of snowy climate?

[ At least they're probably being paid.

He hopes. ]

I grew up in North Country.

[ Yes, hopefully. ]

Mind telling me a little about it?

Hmm... It was an icy tundra. Lots of blizzards and the temperatures were usually real low.

I'm shivering just thinking about it.

But it's good you're in your element.

[He stretches out, Disce mirroring the gesture in her own little pile of snow.]

How're you holdin' up?

[ He lets out a long sigh. ]

Surprisingly not that bad right now. I'm glad you didn't ask yesterday.

Sorry you had to see that mess, but I'm glad you and Sholmes were able to meet up.

But how are you doing, after everything?

Wasn't expectin' it to go like that...

[He looked like he wanted to bolt while XL and Sholmes were arguing?]

Met up with him a little later. Clever guy you got on our side.

I didn't think it would happen like that, either.

[ Honestly, yeah. He wanted to drag Sholmes out of there because he wasn't expecting any of that and it was something that blindsided him. But hearing that they met up? That makes him smile. ]

He is. I know he has a way about him when he's doing things, but he's really smart. Hopefully he's able to help you out with those notes of yours.

'm gettin' used to the guy. I think between the roles 'n him it shouldn't be too awful.

[ He sounds really happy about this. Dumb, proud boyfriend. ]

... Honestly? Glad you've got somebody like him by your side.

[ Oh. Hearing that really warms his heart. ]

That makes me happy to hear that. I did get really lucky.

[... Good for him. Finding somebody during this hell competition.

Nero's happy for them.

He's a little worried though, considering what every world has put them through.]

[ It has been a lot... but they've been keeping each other stable and good. ]

How are you doing, though? I mean... that whole adventure. I'm sorry I ... lost focused so bad. My mind went blank when I saw my daughter.

Hm...

[He looks up to the sky and considers it.]

I'd feel like an asshole complainin' when I have all my limbs. Can't blame you for goin' for somebody you care about.

We were there together. I don't mind you complaining if you want. I'm recovering and I'll get some kind of leg back soon enough.

If you need to talk, I'm willing to listen. Though, you know my stance. I won't force it.

I uh... talked a little about it with Sholmes already.

[ He nods softly at that. ]

He didn't mention anything, but I'm glad you were able to talk to him. Good ear, isn't he?

My personal hangups probably ain't all that interestin'. But... yeah, surprisingly, he is.

I'm not asking for a story. I care about how you're doing. If you only feel like sharing with him, that's fine, too.

[Though maybe it's just because of the snow.]

[ He sighs at that, bothered by that, as well. ]

It's like we were in the church. It's so weird. No pain... But. In case you haven't had it happen, make sure you don't touch anyone's wounds and don't let anyone touch yours. You... relive that pain and they feel it, too.

[ There's something underlying in his tone at that. Someone found out from experience and if Nero noticed his chest being bloodstained at the meeting yesterday, it's probable he can guess what wound he got to relive. ]
