[ After the trial, he's wandering down toward the beach area, kicking a few stones along the street and looking around. He reaches up a hand and runs it through his hair with a sigh. ]
What now...?
[ Asking to the sky, not realizing anyone is around him. ]
[ He was just starting to shift to get up. (This isn't the first time. I'm sorry he's like this.) But he pauses when he hears Monika's voice and looks over. ]
[ Another hot day... Kotetsu is still stubbornly wearing his normal outfit, vest and all. Finley is walking slowly beside him as he looks around. It might not be a bad idea to seek out some shade.
Monika has, at least, stuck to lighter outfits in the two days they've been here. Though even while dressed in a sundress, she looks like she's seriously overheating, Pygmalion panting as he sticks close to Monika.]
Yeah... I'm seriously not used to the heat. [It's awful.] ... Will you be okay dressed like that, though?
[ There's a pair of snow tigers out on the prowl, with an added friend! A small dragon rests on Finley's back as it looks out at all the snowy surroundings.
He has a crutch that seems to have a starry patterning weaved into it... dull, but still a faint magic glow. Sorry, his chest is probably soaking through with blood because a constantly bleeding chest wound is hard to maintain. That, and he's ignoring it completely.
He sighs as he enters the dining hall. Have to keep up strength, food is important. But when he spots Monika, he gives a small wave. ]
[Monika is currently keeping one of her arms behind her back, trying to avoid dripping blood all over the dinner menu. Beside her, Pygmalion stands on his hind legs to get a look at it himself. Can daemons even read? Good question!]
Ah... To be honest, I've definitely been better. But I'm just happy to be alive. [Murder happens so much.] How are you, Kotetsu?
[Several hours after the execution, Monika will be making the trek from her lodgings to the lobby. She slows down when she notices someone else outside in the cold weather.]
[Inside they go! Monika brrs, patting off some of the snow before she steps through the door. Pygmalion is a little less delicate, shaking it all off when they're already inside the hotel.]
I wonder what kind of world we'll see next... Although, it'll be a shame to go without modern commodities.
[Like. Everything that happened here was hellish. But at least they could eat all they wanted and find "free" supplies easily?]
[ The vastness of the amount of books they have in this library... one could easily get lost in there for hours. He's already been here for a while, but he's curious to see what all they have.
Sorry, he's kind of wrapped up in looking at titles at the moment and doesn't notice anyone near... ]
[ Despite everything going on, one still has to eat. And it's important not to drive yourself into the ground. Scanning the shops, Kotetsu idly walks by a few. He doesn't even know what he'd want. Just... window browsing for the time being. But he spots Monika on his travels and gives her a small wave. ]
[She offers him a small smile in return, looking a little bit better now that she's changed out of her curfew clothes and fixed her hair up a little. RIP to her length.
Of course, she still sounds pretty damn rough when she speaks.]
... Not really, but I'll be okay. [And this is after healing, whew.] How are you feeling?

[Surprise! He is not alone. Monika was, of course, stretching her legs after that mess of a trial — until she overhead him.]

Pretty much. It sounds like this whole thing wasn't in their plans, so it makes me wonder what their plans even are.

Hey, Kotetsu! What are you up to?

Fancy meeting you here again. But I thought I'd take a small break, since these couches are pretty comfortable. What're you up to?

I'll survive. [ He laughs a bit, but does seem a little beaten down from the heat. ]
Pretty big change after the last places.

I'm fine, though. Worried about everyone else, though.
