[Well this sure is more people than he expected. He did agree to come here with Nanaly since it was an open space, kind of, but with all these people it's kind of cramped.

He turns his head towards Nanaly]

I don't know what you're thinking, but I won't let all these people stop me. I'll simply move to a side. My outstanding skills guarantee there's no danger for anybody.

[There's going to be archery practice tonight and that's that! You coming along, Nanaly?]

[ Damn, she would have tried to think of a better place for this if she'd known it was going to be this crowded. But it is what it is, and they're both confident enough in their ability to hit a target in the dark, so. She nods, bow in hand! ]

Yeah, I'm game. We just ought to let everyone know what's up ahead of time so no one wanders into the line of fire.

[ Hm, looking around the perimeter... She points to a possible area. ]

Over there maybe? I don't think anyone's gonna care if we take out a few of those creepy plants.

[Now that's a target! Revali nods. He actually seems to be kind of looking forward to this]

They should consider it a community service. I find pretty doubtful these were meant to be in these gardens -- we're pretty much going to do them a favor by using them for target practice.

[For all he knows these will grow again once the night is over and it'll be like nothing happened. Nobody's going to miss a few of those carnivorous plants!]

Ahaha, that's a way of looking at it. Hunting invasive species!

[ Hell yeah, let's do this, bird friend. ]

I had arrows infused with any elemental magic they'd be gone in a moment. Unfortunately, this place refuses to give me any weapons. I had to make these arrows myself.

[It's indignant he doesn't get to use specialized arrows! But at least he has his bow, bow he's already getting ready, getting several arrows onto it already, as usual]

Yeah, I had to make these too. [ Don't remind her about the butcher shop incident... ] I don't really use any special arrows anyway, but I do have some fancier bow artes that use energy for different effects, kinda like what you're talking about!

[ They're also technically element-based, though like, probably less obviously. ]

...Well, normally, I mean, none of those work right here.

I have heard if we get in the Watchers' good graces they would cooperate and give back some of our abilities. I don't think that's worth a try.

[He asked one of them for explosives, for explosive arrows. The reaction was what you'd expect it to be! Well, it was partly a bit of a test, but still, it sure deterred Revali from asking any Watcher for any of his tools or powers]

[ Don't mind him over here probably watching you two for a little bit when Nero's patched up. ]

[ We'll put on a good show! If you like watching carnivorous plants get hit by arrows, anyway. ]

[ It helps pass the time, at least! ]

[Oh, definitely minding him! Despite Revali's stubborn decision to stick to the archery practice plans, he does keep an eye on the rest to make sure they're not approaching and accidentally putting themselves in danger! So when Kotetsu comes nearby, he gives him a glance.

You know what...he has to ask:]

Is he going to be alright?

[He asks, vaguely pointing in Nero's direction with a wing]

Luckily Kim was here to stitch the wounds up. I think we got it taken care of in time, but he's going to need help tomorrow.

All we can hope is that he's out of danger.

I doubt he's so weak he'll let this drag him down for long.

[Almost lazily, like it's the most pedestrian thing ever, Revali fires an arrow after barely giving a glance at the plant, hitting it squarely while he keeps talking to Kotetsu]

...but it's good to see it's been taken care of. Keep an eye on him tomorrow, will you?

[Nero is someone he respects, really. Revali really appreciates someone who minds his own business and hasn't given him reasons to groan or feel slighted]

You didn't need to ask, but I'll make sure to do that.

[ Kotetsu casually looks over in Nero's direction. ]

He's a nice guy. I want to repay the kindness he showed me.

Has he been making you food?

[He's so tempted to ask if Nero really is a chef. Revali is pretty sure things are not as straightforward as it seems with this guy -- mostly because he noticed how Nero isn't the best liar and also the profile quote kind of hints there's more to him than that, haha]

He's made something for me. I've mainly been cooking for myself, though.

[ Surprise, surprise Kotetsu has been feeding himself. But, also, he can say Nero is good at cooking, at least. ]

[Note to himself: perhaps ask Nero for some food. Just out of curiosity.

Or not, because Revali is dying tonight. Alas!]

Having him as a roommate has been a surprisingly pleasant experience, especially because he doesn't do senseless things like getting me into a pillow fight, make accusations about my emotions while calling me words I don't get, or snickering while showing me food with dubious names.

[Therefore he appreciates Nero, really. Well, truthfully, he liked that guy from the beginning. Someone who has the good sense of not sticking his nose where it doesn't belong is appreciated!

Also Revali, you could just have said no to Flat getting you into a pillowfight, you're the one who accepted and then obliterated him at it]

He does tend to like to keep to himself. I'd imagine being his roommate would be relaxing.

[ Sometimes your roommate is a little boisterous, but that's a fun thing. ]

[Revali sets arrows onto his bow. He doesn't look at Kotetsu, perhaps because he's hesitating to say this:]

It was. I will miss having him around.

[Few people can watch Revali's warmer, friendlier memories and have a respectful conversation about it without being nosy. If it happened any other week he's sure it'd have been a painful conversation, not the least because Revali refuses to admit his feelings about things]

[ Aww... that's so soft. ]

He probably feels the same. You'd be a really respectful roommate, too.

Of course I am. I'm delightful.

[He isn't, he totally isn't, haha! He's lucky he had someone like Flat first, because most people wouldn't have as much patience as him when some bird comes by, demanding him to move aside so he can set up a hammock and behaving like sharing a room is the biggest hassle in the world]

[ Yeah, Kotetsu doubts it from his attitude, but he's learned to indulge the bird. It's easier this way. ]

Then I'll hope to be your roommate one of these weeks.

[ Except. You know. ]

As long as you don't wear that mask in my presence...
