Van Zieks mentioned roles during the trial. All of the Watchers seemed to be in severe pain. When I helped Baraqiel, he told me this is what happens when people are careless.

Don't say such things. One cannot carry such burdens on their own shoulders, lest they break. Isolation would only serve to ruin you, I think.

[ He can't help the sigh, giving a hint of a smile at that. There's still anxiety and concern flickering between them, but there's a slightly warmer undertone seeping in. ]

I'm worried what the other roles might entail. What happens if more people find out... I don't know what to trust anymore.

[The warmth over the bond is met with warmth from Sholmes - he sighs into the hug, his other arm wrapping around the man.]

I actually know of one other than you, at the very least. They were vague as to whether they had met with other roles. But...I think this is something you should keep to your chest, regardless.

Van Zieks approached me. He wanted to know my team... and wanted to knew if I knew anything about roles. I was surprised. I pretended I didn't know anything about the roles, but I'm hoping I don't regret letting him know my team later. I wanted to trust him.

But he... told everyone about a role that allowed them to stay awake during the night during the trial. That's when the Watchers were in pain.

But, more seriously...hm, Van Zieks asking for your team is surely an olive branch of trust, if he gave you his team in return. [A pause. He's thinking now, pensive, though he's snuggling a bit closer.] A role that allows them to stay awake...rather like a witness. I wonder who informed him of it.

[That grumpy gargoyle of a man. He smiles lightly - comfortable, but letting the gears of his mind whir back into place, albeit sluggishly.]

...You should know, though. Suigetsu was the one that was voted guilty. He committed a murder, but he says he was also framed. Which means... there's still at least one person out there that did something.
