I think what you and Xie Lian did to Sholmes was pretty shitty. Didn't realize I was bringing him in to be attacked by you guys. I thought he was there to help out, especially with Nero's stuff.

I guess I was an idiot to think that's how it'd work out. I'm also pretty mad about not having another option to tell someone. I didn't realize it was limited to two, but that's my fault for not asking. A little warning would have been nice beyond there being a limit.

[ That last part he knows he's to blame for not asking, but he was pretty overwhelmed with meeting everyone and trying to catch up in a race he was behind on. ]

So, I'm starting to wonder if I should regret having agreed to this whole thing if this was what was going to happen.

I was making a point in general, because apparently despite everyone seeing what happened to the Watchers in Otamo, no one actually asked them about how many people we can actually tell. And that’s probably on me for assuming, but that’s why I made the point of asking if everyone was okay about meeting certain people and letting you take the time to decide, and why I reiterated the importance of not chasing people down and being careful about discussions outside of those who know when I did. If it wasn’t clear enough, then yeah. That is on me, and I’m sorry for taking that choice from you.

Despite it being my role to gather people together, I’m not actually your babysitters — if Xie Lian had a issue and wanted to address it, that was news to me and having things kick off like that wasn’t exactly something I expected from this either. Sholmes is smart, and knows a lot of things we don’t know and having him around isn’t a bad thing. I don’t mind reiterating that to him myself.

But if you’re mad about it, then I can say this much: he probably has a reason to be mad too.

I’m not going to judge this “us versus the world” mentality you seem to have given each other, but I am interested in knowing why, when we’re all at constant risk anyway no matter what we do.

I get that he probably has his reasons, but both of you going after Sholmes like that at once. Pretty shitty, if you ask me.

Not that I don't understand points being made. But we're all guilty in this situation and Xie Lian has done things wrong, too. Sholmes wanted to help and he was met with aggression. I put him in the line of fire that I didn't even know was coming.

We've all got our duties, but I have something to protect on top of it. I can't let this item get into the wrong hands or everything is doomed. We're guarding that.
